Gothic Heart Shaker Bead: A Mini DIY Project

Three supplies, one custom heart bead, and a new idea for your next collection.

For this Gothic Heart mini project, I'm bringing together our heart shaker beads, Spooky Creation Tape Palette, and Charmie Designer Mix Box Series 001. It's a simple way to explore a darker theme and add a custom detail to a project that uses a bead rod.

Make your Gothic Heart

Step 1: Select the Midnight Garden Mix from the Charmie Designer Mix Box – Series 001 and add the mix to the inside of the shaker and close the shaker.

Step 2: Place the Black Creation Tape from the Sweetly Spooky Creation Tape Palette, guide the tape around the shaker bead to seal it.  You can cover the holes as the bead rod can pierce through the tape securely.

Step 3: Add the bead to your product bead rod.  Works great with pens, keychains, or any beadable item you choose.

Turn one idea into a collection

There are five complete heart beads in each pack. Try a coordinating set or give each bead its own look as you explore the mixes and tape palettes. Pick the person you're designing for, then carry that theme through the rest of your design.

I'll be sharing more mini projects using supplies from the shop. Visit DIY Project Ideas for the next project and its supply list.

Supply links are for the listed products. Pens, bead rods, tools, glue, and finished sample projects are not included. Small parts are not toys; keep them away from small children and pets.
