Holiday Heart Shaker Bead | Turn Three Supplies Into One Custom Design
Share
A festive shaker bead made with the Holiday Magic Mix, a heart shaker, and a little Collection Crafting.
One of my favorite things about crafting is seeing how completely different supplies can come together and become something that feels like it was designed as a set.
For Design #2 in my Heart Shaker series, I created the Holiday Heart using the Holiday Magic Mix from the Charmie Designer Mix Box, a Heart Shaker Bead, and coordinating Creation Tape. Instead of using the heart shaker exactly as it came, we’re turning it into a custom focal bead that can become the starting point for an entire holiday collection.
What I Used
- Heart Shaped Shaker Base Beads
- Holiday Magic Mix from the Charmie Designer Mix Box
- Chrome Nights Sugar Rhinestone Creation Tape Palette
- Your usual bead-rod supplies for the finished project

Build the Bead Around a Theme
The fun part of this project is choosing the pieces from the Holiday Magic Mix that work together instead of simply filling the shaker randomly.
Think about the overall look you want first. Pick your focal pieces, add coordinating smaller elements, and use your Creation Tape to bring the entire design together. That turns a basic heart shaker into a focal bead that feels intentional and unique to your collection.
One Bead Can Start a Collection
This is where Collection Crafting comes in. Don’t stop at asking, “What can I make with this bead?” Ask, “What collection could I build around this bead?”
Your Holiday Heart could inspire coordinating pens, keychains, wristlets, bookmarks, notebook accessories, gift sets, or other bead-rod designs. You don’t need dozens of completely different products. Start with one strong theme and carry the colors, textures, and design elements across a small coordinated collection.
Your Turn
Take a look through the mixes, charms, tapes, and beads already on your craft table. Pick a theme first, then see what you can combine to create something new.
Keep following the Heart Shaker series because I’m creating five different designs using different mixes and Creation Tape combinations.
What theme would you put inside a Heart Shaker Bead?
